Serving Our Seniors

A Good Idea

Description

Serving Our Seniors is a private, nonprofit geriatric service agency funded through the Erie County Senior Services tax levy, volunteers, and donations. The organization offers services to help senior citizens live independently in their homes. Advocates work with participants to resolve questions or problems by either connecting them to existing programming, or offering services. The program assists seniors of all income levels through a cost sharing program that allows participants to pay what they can afford. Serving Our Seniors offers services to assist with drug expenses, out of town medical transportation, ramps, personal care and housekeeping, emergency home repairs, handyman services, rural hot home delivered meals, and share a ride programs.

Goal / Mission

The goal of Serving Our Seniors is to help senior citizens live independently in their homes.
