An Effective Practice
Description
Salud Services is a program offered by Tuality Healthcare Foundation and Oregon's Winery and Vineyard Industry that facilitates access to health care for seasonal migrant vineyard workers and their families and advocates for the healthcare needs of this population and the general Latino Community. This is accomplished through collaboration with community health centers, health departments, private providers and social service agencies. Salud Services has a bilingual and bicultural staff, and works to establish trusting relationships with the workers and their families.
Goal / Mission
The goals of Salud Services are to:
-Promote wellness and prevention
-Value cultural beliefs
-Promote health and safety in the worksite
-Be a cultural broker for the clients
-Collaborate with other agencies

Results / Accomplishments
Salud Services has been active for more than five years and provides services to 1000-5000 migrant workers annually.
