Neighborhood Involvement Program

A Good Idea

Description

The mission of the Neighborhood Involvement Program (NIP) is to provide cost-effective and professional services to underserved populations. NIP targets residents living in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.

NIP is run by a small staff and a large group of volunteers that work to help people facing issues such as limited resources, illiteracy, costly health care, emotional concerns, physical frailty and personal safety. NIP's programs include a Community Clinic which provides medical, dental, and family planning services and a Counseling Center that provides help with general mental health issues. In addition, there is a Rape and Sexual Abuse Center and various Youth and Seniors Programs.
